2nd Art Show Achieved: 27th Mollie Fearing Art Show at Dare County Arts Council

I participated in my 2nd art show locally: the 25th Annual Mollie Fear Art Show at Dare County Arts Council in Manteo, NC where I live. It is wonderful to have a place locally so close and to have this open, unjuried event annually. This show allows artists to enter any art in any medium and encourages innovation. I think this is wonderful for any artist that wants to put themselves out there and maybe even try to do something they’ve never done before. I think that’s what gets me.

that and there is a wonderful buffet! Free open to the participants and public. No starving artist this afternoon! I’m already looking forward to next year. It was very inspiring to see what other people put out there. Sculpture jewelry textiles mixed media photography on and on and on. My son and I both enjoyed being able to vote for people’s choice. Best to all the participants and spectators and everyone who worked on this. No small thing. I’m already looking forward to next year. And also going back when there’s less of a crowd and I can take it in at a slower pace.
