I've had these little canvases 5x7 on my desk for a good long while. They were beach and clouds and and lacked much to say. And as I worked on other projects, I got a striking idea for one and then the other. I have a larger idea and sketch about dreaming and images in the sky. Daydreams. Sleeping people. People with their heads in the clouds. So one cloudy day, poetically, and worked these two up together along with some others. Sometimes you have to wait for the right moment and somehow an idea just comes to you, drops in, or shift up from the whatever divides our conscious and subconscious. So much is going on in our minds, even while we are sleeping. Creatives should definitely keep sketchbooks/pens/pencils close at hand, no matter where they are.
