Something New

 

This started as a "what if" project - no idea or preconception. The questions, out of necessity, was "what if I don't have any white?" and then one thing led to another and suddenly I was doing a self portrait in oil on a black canvas (another first) and using yellow to lighten other colors. This work is not done and I'm leaving it to set up some. I very much enjoyed the effect I was getting. Strange how my desire to do something more realistic when right into the opposite direction. But I seem to always do that. Get an idea and end up with something completely opposite. It is fun. Keeps life unexpected.
